The UK government’s Apprentice Levy.
Only 2% of employers, with an annual pay bill of over £3 million, pay the levy. If your company pays the levy, your apprenticeship costs are fully covered. If your business doesn’t contribute to the levy, you pay just 5% of the course fees. It really is win-win.
That’s because the funding generated by this levy also funds apprenticeship training for other SMEs (below the £3 million pay bill threshold).
Since May 2019, over £3.3 billion of unused Apprenticeship Levy funding has been returned to the UK Treasury. Those funds could have been used to upskill entire workforce — like yours.
